The Long View

A Brass Over Bridges concert with music exclusively by women, featuring a world premiere by San Francisco-based composer Julie Barwick.

Your attendance helps advance our mission to diversify the brass chamber music canon, and in supporting our ongoing endeavors in music education.

Admission is free for students of the Las Positas music program.

Barwick’s piece, “Paths,” is inspired by poetry by SF Bay Area writers, including Randall Mann. Other music includes works by Jennifer Higdon, Joan Tower, Reena Esmail, Dale Trumbore, Marti Epstein and Barbara Strozzi in a 50-minute program. For more in-depth info on the program, read this blog post.
